Hello Bellevue! My name is Meagan Nelson and I am currently serving my second year as director of bands for Bellevue Middle School. I am here to answer any questions you have about the program.

A little about me:

I was born and raised in Lakewood Colorado and was director of bands at Spring Hill Middle School in Maury County from 2010-2018. I attended the University of Northern Colorado, East Tennessee, and Middle Tennessee State Universities.

I am a percussionist and have been composing and teaching throughout Middle Tennessee since 2003. I am currently working with and have been since 2006, the World Champion WGI percussion ensemble, Music City Mystique. I am also currently working with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. I have taught the front ensemble at Phantom Regiment from 2011-2014 and the Madison Scouts in 2016 and 2017.

I currently live in Old Hickory TN, with my husband; Josh Nelson, my two dogs; Princess Pork Chop and Obi Wan the Dobie, and my 27 year old turtle; Slowpoke.
